Gojek is a digital platform providing ride-hailing, payments, and on-demand services across Southeast Asia.
The challenge.
Gojek needed to reduce end-to-end latency across mobile apps and backend APIs while supporting geographically distributed traffic and bursty loads. Existing services experienced tail-latency issues and occasional cascading failures during peak hours. Mind Supernova was engaged to optimize critical paths, introduce circuit breakers, and improve mobile SDK performance and telemetry.
Ensuring near-zero user-visible regressions during rolling updates was essential.
The solution.
Mind Supernova’s engineers collaborated with Gojek’s internal platform team to re-architect key microservices, implement gRPC-based communication, and introduce distributed caching layers to minimize latency. We integrated observability tools to detect performance bottlenecks and rebalanced workloads across regional clusters. On the client side, SDK refactoring reduced app cold-start time and improved data sync logic. Continuous load testing pipelines were established to validate performance before each major release.
